Occasion: Dessert after a Saturday night dinner
Gelato: I walked in and wasn’t convinced. There are multiple locations, we went to the one near Trastevere. I wanted Venchi a short walk away at Pantheon, but I figured it would be fine to try something new. The gelato was whatever. I don’t remember anything notable about it. I don’t even remember my flavors except stracciatella and I guess the other one was nocciola. I got a sugar/waffle cone. There was a hair baked into the cone. Also the portion wasn’t the best and that waffle cookie thing on top was whatever. Look, I know some people rave about this, but to me it was regular. Also if you are in Rome for a short period, I’m not writing these posts so you can waste stomach space, time, and money on places that are average and don’t portray Italia well. I didn’t have any eye widening experience. I don’t think I’ll come again. I don’t recommend it.
Price: The total cost was 16 euros. We got three gelatos. I don’t know the exact breakdown for each, but that was the total for three people. They accepted amex and Apple Pay.
