Welcome to my first “places to hang out” review!
Occasion: When you want to relax or do your nails in Rome!!!
Initial Impressions: I had always passed by and it’s a very small salon, but well lit and clean. However, every time I went to their website for last minute appointments they never seemed to have any. I finally got around to making my appointment in advance. No regrets! I recommend making your appointment online if you want an afternoon appointment, however you can always stop by and ask them for availability or call in!
Once Seated: The chairs are comfortable and they do speak English and Italian here. However this particular location is not wheelchair accessible. It may however be handicap accessible if you can get up the step at the entrance, sit on high stools at the manicure bar, or if you can step on the platform to get to your seat for the pedicure.

Manicure: I’ve asked for square and almond shapes. Both were perfect. I am also very very particular about my cuticles. I don’t like when they try to cut my cuticles without any cuticle oil/soaking in water. I also will not come back to a nail salon if they cut my cuticle too deeply, make me bleed, or have close calls. It is also a big pet peeve if a nail salon uses a drill to remove gel/semipermant polish rather than a soak. Nail bar does it all right! They don’t use a drill to remove, just file the top layer and then places the removal on a cotton with these cute nail clips (no foil lol). Also my second visit I broke my nail on my index finger. They did reconstruction on it to give me back the length. It was perfectly executed. I haven’t tried nail art here yet, but I will update you. Oh and I left a little over six weeks between my first and second manicures and the polish DID NOT LIFT. Two of my nails did break (user error my nails were too long and I was careless picking things up). The nude color I’m modeling is called “nocciola (hazelnut)”
Pedicure: So pedicures in Europe will never be like pedicures in SoCal. However, they give you a decent pedicure here and the end result is always perfect, even if they aren’t big on frills and luxury here.

Service: I would say all of them are good but both times I’ve had Alicia and I am going to stick with her. She has done perfect nails every time!!!

Payment: The total cost is 80-100 euros for a manicure and pedicure. Some locations offer student discounts. This location I’ve pinned does not. However it’s super close to school so I like going here for the convince. I would say that you don’t need the full experience semi-perminant manicure, you can just go for the semi-permanant manicure without the location and hadn’t scrub. For pedicures, I would say it’s up to you, I tried both as well and I would say if you do a lot of walking or want a more relaxing experience go for the foot mask. I opted to do my pedicure with semi-permanent and buy two foot masks to take home. This is my go-to nail salon in Rome. I’ll give you guys the reviews for the other three places I have tried next.
